Heart condition

How many people know that Moving is hardwork? Moving for me has been a very ordinary part of life. I have moved house 15 times in my lifetime! In my previous post it was mentioned that my brother and his family moved into a new home!
One of the thoughts i had whilst watching my brother pack things was the reaction to finding something that had been forgotten about or lost. How many of you have found something you loved or something that produces a memory or just plain junk when you’ve been packing?
He was throwing things away that he no longer needed, keeping things that were precious to him… remembering things that were previously forgotten! My mind raced to a thought about the spiritual condition of my heart and whether there was a comparison. See as people we clutter ourselves up sometimes. We horde things; past failures, past hurts, tragic memories, un-changable circumstances…. we fill ourselves with things that have no substance, things that have no meaning – movies, songs or articles on different subjects.
We become so consumed with unimportant things and are so negative that there is limited space for the good? We can continue asking God to fill us with new hopes and dreams but he is incapable if we are already overloaded with rubbish. Personally i was so convicted to take a look at my heart and see what i need to throw away, deal with and move on from!
On the positive side, my brother found things that he loved that he had forgotten about. Has god ever birthed a dream in you that you really believed in but as time passed by and life got busy you forgot about? Or had you been hoping for someone or something but as time went on and you experienced hurt or rejection the hoping slowly slipped through your fingers. Those desires are still in your heart; you’ve just gotta remove the clutter to let them be the focus again and the things you live and breath. Reclaim your joy and declare new beginnings over your life, don’t let anything stop you! God births dreams in us so that we have something to chase; so that he can use our individual talents to impact and change the world.
Everything needs to be cleaned sometimes, the condition of our hearts are no different. Everything you do daily comes from the heart, it comes from inside which means we really need to look after it and keep it healthy! I know in my own life that there are many things that are about to get the boot because my life has no space for it. We need to be a culture of people that smile at the future regardless of what we see coming for us. We are strong and have already got our victory through Christ so have no need to fear just a will to fight.
