Battles bring triumphs
Tonight i had the pleasure of speaking with a great friend of mine; she is an absolute legend & i love her dearly. We were having a conversation about battles, things in life that seem up hill & a constant fight. Amidst us sharing some struggles it occured to me that ‘Without great Battles there are no Great Triumphs’. Something that has been said many times one can only imagine, but fresh revelation to my spirit. After saying this it got me thinking about ‘Battles’ & ‘Triumph’.
bat.tle |ˈbatl|
verb [ intrans. ]
fight or struggle tenaciously to achieve or resist something
The first thing that comes to mind after thinking back to many moments with several people is that in the middle of a battle most of us complain; it’s a culture in our generation. We complain when something doesn’t go our way… to give up when a resolution, victory or an end seems far.
Personally for me this is where Jesus becomes my strength, where my Faith forces me to hold on and keep fighting; When a spirit I never knew existed arises inside and Victory seems so much closer. It’s at times like these that i question where i would be without him…
Maybe i’m alone on this; but i love the thrill of a battle. It’s bitter-sweet. It sucks but at the same time is so refreshing. Correct me if I’m wrong; but don’t you love the taste of Victory, that feeling of accomplishment… knowing you’ve overcome something. For many i’m certain it brings an adrenalin rush, that moment you know you’ve beat something, you’ve won! Without the battle this feeling doesn’t exsist which brings me to the next word…
triumphant |trīˈəmfənt|
adjective
having won a battle or contest; victorious
I don’t know about you but the word triumphant excites me. It’s a declaration of Victory, whoever you are, whatever you’ve just fought for or are fighting for; you have now rightfully conquered it or will conquere it! Hero’s for centuries have been described as triumphant, in your own way when you go through a battle and see it through to an end you become your own hero.
Stand your ground, Fight with everything in you, Put all of your heart and soul into overcoming a problem rather then giving up on it. Victory is there for the taking; it just needs one who is hungry for success to choose to chase it.
