The Brilliant and the Bland (our 2009)
Christmas has been and gone and a new year stares us in the face. The end of a decade, the end of some things brilliant and some things bland.
The Brilliant. The Beautiful Proposal that promised me my Best Friend Forever; never for a moment would I have suspected that going into 2010 I would be a Bride-to-Be. Our River city Church Family; after an enormous search for home we found it in the most amazing & loving place, thank-you Jesus! Baby Benjamin Lee Whyte Utz; our beautiful baby nephew born 9 days after my 21st Birthday. AWhisperWithin photography; the birth of our first business, a dream come true with our mighty Gods provision. Old & New lifelong friends; Kristi, Bec, Chonty & Brigid – Strong, Empowered & Beautiful girls who encouraged my heart ALWAYS! Last but not least as every year; my Beautiful family J this year however i have 2 and both were incredible.
The Bland. The bland is boring because from each of them came something beautiful & brilliant. Why? Because my God uses ALL things for the good of those who love him.
January 1st always brings me to a point in thought about expectation. It seems that the start of a journey accompanied by its endless possibilities and mystery is far more entertaining than it is half way through when our possibilities seem ended rather than endless.
What does 2010 hold for you? For me it is a new year to hand humbly to my God and place in his hands waiting patiently for him to mould it as he pleases. It’s a new year to look around and be grateful for the gift each day is and find any opportunity for God to use me. It holds a wedding where I take my “one true love” for all the days of my life & the chance to see a business prosper. It’s a new season with new people and new opportunities to see Lives Transformed and Hearts healed in Jesus Name. 2010 WILL be fantastic; claim it… the victory is yours!
The greatest thing about January 1st is the sensation of a brand new beginning. We all have habits, relationships, troubles and mistakes that we want to leave behind and what better time to do it! Don’t let yourself take hurt, bitterness and memories better off forgotten into a new season, go prepared, free and ready to fight! Your future is not limited by your past… your past has no hold on you! Let it go. Watch as the sun rises and know that it is a NEW DAY and you can if you choose to be a NEW YOU. Regardless of who you are, who you were or who you want to be… You have the power to achieve anything you want. Never let anything stand in your way of being a dream chaser. Be empowered, commissioned and inspired today to make 2010 your year. When that time in the journey comes that things look bleaker then you imagined; be strong and full of Faith. You will never be amidst something you can’t handle. Hold on to the Good and wake everyday with the knowledge that you are capable and called.
We pray over this new season in each of your lives a new sense of Joy and Direction. May your footsteps be powerful every place they touch and your mind increased with new and greater knowledge. We pray that you soar through 2010 always held firmly in the embrace of a loving and gracious God, that when needed he would give you wings to fly higher than ever before. Be blessed and encouraged… you are great and your future greater.
